Friends...Scrapwest

The Scrapwest theme this week was set by Noelle and was "Friends " I made a card using a stamp that says "My best friend brings out the best in me " I used similar papers to make the shoe in the post below, I love the patterns and colours. Click on the Scrap West Logo on the left to see all the great entries this week.

DCM... "Checks".

The Daring Cardmaker's challenge this week is " Checks" and was set by Jane. I made a 3D card with this shoe template using two check/ plaid papers. I left the greeting open so it could be used for different occasions. I embossed the card background to take the plain look off it . I think there is enough going on with the shoe , butterfly and bow's without a patterned background, or any more detail added.

TMTA Challenge

The theme is Holiday this week.

I lost the original post so decided to change the ATC , The background is a magazine cut out , I layered two vintage images on top then stamped and brayered the Bathing ticket.

A bit different.

SW, Wet, Wet ,Wet .

I set the Scrapwest theme this week which was " Wet, Wet, Wet " I took these photos last week on my holidays in Puerto Rico . I had a choice of using these or looking out the window and snapping the raindrops =0) But these are a bit more cheery looking.

TMTA , ASIA

I am up for a challenge today and took part in the "Think Monday -Think ATC " challenge , this week the theme was " Asia "I used alcohol inks for the background a stamped image highlighted with bleach in the circle and some paua shells ( thanks Carrie ) and fibres to finish it off.

Daring Cardmakers " Pockets "

I decided to take up the Daring cardmakers challenge today. The dare set for this week was " POCKETS " and this is what I came up with.

While cleaning out my Picture trail I found these. All the main images are photo stamps. If you click on Shirley Temple you will See some of her real curls attached ;0) and on the red card there is a real necklace :0)

Just for you

I always make up Lot's of cards when I am demonstrating a technique or sharing ideas at Laineys crops, these are a few very simple cards I made for one of the past demos.

The Scrapwest team.

The Scrapwest theme this week was set by Audrey and was a little bit different, We had to use a photo of the scrapwest team, this photo was taken in April this year at Crafteire in Tullamore. I decided to use this paper because as soon as I put the photo on it Ruth's top jumped out at me LOL then the rest followed. The felt flowers were from Craftsupplies.

Dublin City

The scrapwest theme this week was " City " and set by Lainey. I didn't get out and about this week with the camera but had these two photographs which I have always liked, they are of the Custom House here in Dublin by day and by night. I stamped the filigree design along the left side of the paper and added a Dublin crest. For a closer look at the photos go over to my Photo Blog.

These two neck pieces are exactly the same and the reason I am showing the two of them is to show all the different colours in the natural shell, which ever way you look at them the colours are different, each shell has shades of pinks, greens, blues and browns.( click to see more detail )
