I have always love the Snowman so couldnt resist these six stamps, when I stamped them first I wasnt keen on them but as I added colour they seemed to improve a bit.

My Christmas workshop.

My next workshop is next Sunday 29th November, I am looking forward to seeing all the regulars, the new faces and to the new venue ... if you have booked in and would like to ask me anything about the workshop or directions my address is along the side bar, I have a couple of places available so if you or a friend are interested you can contact me for details.

I have a busy workshop planned so it will be full steam ahead .... I will be sending out an email with all the final details and any extras you could pack in with your stash.

I made this card by matching up two digital images and coloured with Promarkers.

I made this a while ago and found the photo on my desktop, It has two decorated chipboard covers with a little notelet book inside.

Peachy Keen stamps challenge

I made this card for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge I used a peachy keen stamped image and flowers from Cara Craft Supplies.

Digital image and sugary flowers.

I love this Mo Manning digital image and these sugary looking prima flowers and brads from CCS

Lazer cut backgrounds and other cards.

I set myself a challenge to use these new Lazer cut backgrounds from Cara Craft Supplies, when I saw them first I loved them but thought about how I could use them ? then once I start using them that was it, I was on a roll, they are so easy to use and give a neat professional finish to cards, another thing I love about them is the designs can be used all year round and not just for Christmas.

These two cards are made using My minds eye papers and a Timeless Impressions rubber stamp, aslo from Cara Craft supplies.

My October Workshop

Had a great day today at the workshop, we made five cards and a baby Train wall hanging, we stamped and embossed and had a candle decorating demo, so all in all we had a really busy day, it was great to meet everyone again and also meet up with new people, here are the cards we made and some sample cards/candles I had on display.

Attention : I explained at my workshop that it is dangerous to use taper candles with this technique as the flame is too close to the outside of the candle.

Mandy set the Paperplay Challenge this week with a sketch, I used my favourite Gorguss girl rubber stamp image layered on coffee and pale green coloured papers then framed with a lazer cut flower frame from Cara craft supplies. I couldnt resist this rubber stamp image when I popped into the new Cara Craft supplies shop recently (banner along side bar), I stamped and embossed with detail black embossing powder added some faux stitching and layered.

I received a blog comment from Kiki a few weeks ago when I used this image on a card she said if it had red hair it would look like Gertie ( I agree)

Simple pleasures and some fabric flowers..

Have been playing around with some silky fabric and felt today the roses are something I have wanted to try for ages they measure about 2 inches each and the felt flowers are cut with my big shot, the card is made using digital images coloured with pro markers.

Paperplay challenge week 36, Spot this

This weeks Paperplay Challenge was set by Julie

For this challenge I went with some Autumn colours, felt flowers and a Tilda image.

Cara Craft Supplies New Shop

I called into the new Cara Craft Supplies shop today ( click the highlighted link or logo along the side bar for a look ) and picked up these daisies ( along with a few other pieces) I added colour with my new Pro markers, I also coloured the image with them, I made this card for no reason other than I wanted to =0)

My September workshop.

We had a great day yesterday at the workshop and everyone was raring to go after the August break, we had a lovely relaxed yet productive day and also managed to raise some funds towards Petras fundraiser, I had some books for sale, Lynda had her Crochet broaches and Ger her little snippets, ( Thanks to everyone who bought or donated ) Jess demonstrated her beautiful tiles too and everyone was very impressed ( Thanks Jess )

PaperPlay Challenge week 36..

Kate set the paperplag challenge this week with " no patterned papers" (quote Kate ) You are not allowed to use any patterned paper in your project. You may however (if you wish) make your own, out of card stock for example using whatever techniques you want ! You can use paint, you can emboss or stamp it's entirely up to you or you can just use different colours of plain cardstock if that's what you want!

These are the cards we made at my workshop today, we had a play with alcohol inks and flower soft and it was great to see all the different variations of colours while making the same cards, I really enjoyed the day and it was great to meet up with everyone and meet some newbies too.

Give it a twist ...

Elisa challenged us to use our supplies in an unexpected way for the PaperPlay Challenge this week, for example, pink card for men, title in Braille, clock faces instead of the letter "O", anything with a twist!

My twist was to use the owl eyes for letters.

This weeks PaperPlay challenge was set by JulieM the theme is " FUN WITH FONTS " I used a " Hippy Chick " font for the Birthday text and a "Snoopy font " for all the snoopy pics, when you type in the letters the pics appear instead of letters then I coloured them, the main snoopy image is a rubber stamp, I had great fun with this challenge.

PaperPlay Challenge week 14

This weeks PaperPlay challenge was set by Elisa.

The challenge is "complementary colours " that is, to use colours that are opposite to each other in the colour wheel, such as red/green, yellow/purple, orange/blue, etc.

I chose to use Pink /green.

PaperPlay Challenge ; Week 13

The PaperPlay challenge this week is set by Sandie and is " TIMES 4." ..... X4 your creation.. whether it's a layout, card or altered item.. times 4 it! 4 pictures, 4 buttons, 4 flowers, 4 of whatever you want!!

For my entry this week I inked four 2x2 squares with blue/green alcohol inks, stamped images with black stazon and finished off with clear and gold utee then mounted on co-ordinating cs and framed.

Paperplay Challenge

The Paperplay challenge this week was set by Mandy and is titled "Touchy Feeley"

The challenge is to create a project using fabric & ribbons. This weeks challenge is all about texture, to create something you can rub your hand over and enjoy the feeling of the different textures. You can use any other craft items too on your project, stamping, buttons,etc... but it must have fabric and ribbons on it somewhere!

PaperPlay Challenge ; All about backgrounds.

It was my turn to set the PaperPlay challenge this week and I chose to challenge everyone to create their own backgrounds using anything they liked.

I stamped my images with versamark and created a coloured background with chalks, I then layered onto blue cs stamped with majestic blue ink then finished off with a pink organza bow and crystal clear gems.

PaperPlay Challenge... Mothers Day

This weeks challenge was set by Kate and the only rule was to make a Mothers Day card but no flowers allowed.

I cheated this week and altered a card I had made for my last workshop, I had intended it to be a Mothers Day card but didn't add the text at the time to leave the option open.
