Just because...

( Click on cards for a more detailed look )

I made these cards for no reason other than I love these embroidered converse runners and from the time my son was three years old he wore them and still does, I asked Ger from Little Snippets ( have a look at her Etsy Site ) if she could make them up in different colours and she sure did, I love them all and find them great for difficult cards like teenagers and boys cards. They also add texture to your cards ( the flower is Ger's too ) added a few more cards using embroidered embellishments.

PaperPlay Challenge... Mothers Day

This weeks challenge was set by Kate and the only rule was to make a Mothers Day card but no flowers allowed.

I cheated this week and altered a card I had made for my last workshop, I had intended it to be a Mothers Day card but didn't add the text at the time to leave the option open. I added a Little Snippet embroidered corner ( I love using these pieces to add texture to a card) an ivory button threaded with satin ribbon added a chipboard heart and finished off with a pearl and small bow then layered it on to some tan card.

PaperPlay Challenge

The PaperPlay challenge this week was set by Elisa-
(Quote) Use red and/or pink - Use a monogram. "A design composed of one or more letters, typically the initials of a name, used as an identifying mark". So I'll go with "one or more letters".
For this card I embossed, inked with metallic inks, and stapled some chipboard to give it an aged look. and added some sizzix letters to complete the word LOVE.

Magnolia Santa ...

I love these images, and feel with this card less is more... I felt it was missing a sentiment but think it works ok without one.

Santas Key , OH Christmas Tree and Post it Pad.

This is Kiki's Christmas Party Challenge...
Well, here it goes, it's simple. Make a x-mas card using whatever you want, BUT without adhesives (no glue, no double sided tape, no herma, no glue dots, no sticky pads, etc) You can use: staples, brads, clips, eyelets...use your imagination ...

This card is made from one A4 card folded to make a card with two sections for tags,no glues or tapes were used , I used eyelets and staples to secure it. As a lot of House don't have chimneys now and I'm sure the question pops up as to how Santa will get into the house? so this card is intended for Santa and the tags read .....

This is your key to our House,
Let yourself in ... quiet as a mouse.
Please leave some gifts under the tree,
We have been very good you see.
Please eat the biscuits if you may, And leave the key on the way,
Thank you for the gifts galore.
See you next year at our door.
