Way above the chimney tops

I cant help clicking these sunset skies , I love the unpredictable colours in each shot.

Butterfly Kiss & Little Musician.

Sometimes when I am looking around I come across cards I forgot about , today I found these two ,the butterfly girl is a photo stamped image mounted on layers of rose paper and the Little musician boy and background are stamped then layered on card.

Tree lined street

Not a great photo but there is something about it I like , It was taken beyond the Bowling green in Herbert park. ( If you click on the pic you will see a closer view. Bird ,birds nest and all. =0)

Blush Flush

I found these Hyacinth in among all the fading Daffodils and crocus and the burst of colour was fantastic, I love these two colour's together. There's not a lot I can say about them , I think they say it all for themselves .

Sparkly Oatmeal

I really am enjoying this beading , here is another one using pinks this time , The main piece looks like an oatmeal biscuit with added glitter , I thought that the minute I saw it then the girl in the shop said she named it oatmeal ,I got the clasp neater this time too ( I'm catching on ) They are very simple pieces but I think I am better starting with something like this and then trying something more difficult . I love designing them and then seeing the finished result.

City wildlife

When we think of living in the city the image we have is of buildings , rush hour and noise , but there is also the other side of it like these beautiful deer in the Pheonix Park , You can walk right up to them for a closer look. Plenty of space there to relax and gather your thoughts .

Spring

...

Springtime officially started today , I always feel that it's spring as soon as the flowers start blooming . It's great to see all the bright colours after the winter months.

ATC's

ATC's ...(Altered/Artist trading cards ) have become very popular again. I see them as mini collages, the only difference is the size of the area you are working on.

Happy St Patrick's Day

We didnt go to the parade today but went to the FoodFest in the RDS , Sampled some international cuisine and took some pics, there were some beautiful beads and Bead bags as you can see in the pic and a natural honey stand with beeswax in little blocks which looked good enough to eat =0)

Mothers Day explosion box

My scrapwest submission for this week is my Mothers Day explosion box full of pics of my sisters and myself along with some favourite family pics ,I wanted the main focus on be the photos and not the box so I left it simple and not too fussy. I really enjoy making these boxes they are a great alternative to a card or album and in a box you could fit at least 20 photos.

Paper Napkins

Three cards made using paper napkins and rubber stamp images . When you start making these you will look at napkins in a different light.There are fantastic napkins around even in the local supermarkets.

Doodle Door

This door always reminds me of doodling, something I love to do but feel I am not very good at. The pics were taken in Fitzwilliam Square , Dublin. There are some lovely doors on the square but I think this one beats them all .

Live, Love,Laugh

This is my Scrapwest entry for this week . It was the first time I worked with a scrapmap and I enjoyed the challenge, each SW member exchanged papers, embellishments etc so it made the challenge even more interesting . Lainey sent me my swap and Audrey set the challenge this week. SW has a new look blog now and we all have our own Gallery = 0).

Celtic images.

With St Patricks Day getting closer I had a look around my Celtic cards and found these two.I bought the stamp images about ten years ago and I still use them today .They are the most useful stamps I have because I use them for all occasions including men's cards, you can dress them up or keep them basic while still achieving great results.

Both cards are stamped and embossed . The card on the right has an acatate window and the shamrocks are drawn with gold relief paint and coloured with glass paint .( If you click on the cards you will see more detail)

Temptation

I have been off the Chocolate two weeks now . I give it up most years for lent . Only problem is as soon as lent is over there is Chocolate everywhere for Easter and the temptation is too much . ( Must try harder this year ) =0)

Collage

Here are some collages I made when I was going through a " Collage phase " The technique is very similar to ATC's only on a larger scale. I use anything from Magazine cut outs to rubber stamp images , Wrapping paper, postage stamps etc anything goes. I set themes by colour or occasions or just chose a main image and work around it . There are no rules or plans with collage they just " Happen " ( well mine do anyway ) =0)
