Digital Hybrid.

Keeping in with the Vintage theme I enjoyed so much over the weekend I made this digital Hybrid card using the" Henri" digi pk from Digital Scrapbook creations, I layered a beautiful image which I fell in love with on Saturday on to some textured card very kindly donated to all of us from Linda ( Kelly paper crafts ) Thanks for everything Linda.I finished the card off with some real buttons and stamped the word " Cherish ".

Collage Style pendants

I had a fantastic crafting, chatting , catching up day yesterday with a few of the girls and tried lots of different techniques including Soldering, Triple utee, wax crayon melting ,Image transfers and more, these two Collage style pendants are the only soldered pieces I managed to finish and I have lots more to add as soon as I finish them. Thanks for a great inspirational day =0)

DCM " I am Woman "

Daring cardmakers Challenge this week was set by Lythan and is titled,

"I am woman" As its coming up to Mothers day here’s a chance to make a card that celebrates women and girls .So I’d like to see a card with at least one feminine image on it.

Here is my feminine card which I layered with foam pads to give a raised effect.

4x4 Friday

4x4 Friday's theme this week is " Alice in Wonderland.This 4x4 is made up with layers of Alice related images and some text printed from an Alice in wonderland book and framed with a Queen of hearts playing card.

DCM " Mum's Recipe

Daring Cardmakers Midweek Challenge.

" This weeks little extra doesn't have to be for any specific occasion but you do have to follow a reciepe. Two buttons, one ribbon and a 'spoonful' of flowers.....! Put all the ingredients together and bake in a craft room until complete !

I made this card last week which I believe is called a "Digital Hybrid " using a pk from Digital scrapbook creations and when I saw the DCM challenge today I added two buttons and thought it would fit the theme perfectly =0)

Photo Card

It was my turn to set the Craft supplies card challenge and I chose the title " Photo Card " As I will not be entering the challenge I decided to show my card here =0) This card was inspired by both Noelle and Ruth's Scrapwest tutorials The layering on the left Noelle's and the Doodling with the silent setter Ruth's.

TMTA " Africa"

TMTA theme this week is " Africa" I have this rubber stamp a long time and have always loved using bright colours to colour it in. The Zebra pattern background is also a rubber stamp and the tiger print is handmade paper.

Swans

I was out and about today taking some photos and took this one along the canal , I love photographing the swans and was pleased with the results I got today. There are some more photos on my Photo Blog.

Theme Thursday " Warm Colours "

Theme Thursday challenge this week is " Warm Colours " This card is built up with a layer of script paper and gold foil with relief paint swirls the orange piece is coloured with Posh Impressions rainbow inks and stamped with a script image and gold embossed then finished off with a hero art flower stamp a real leaf and some co ordinating fibres.

Wednesday Stamper " bookmark "

The Wednesday stamper challenge this week is to make a " Bookmark " I kept it really simple using one flourish stamp coloured with a magenta brush marker and adding an Asian image I then highlighted the stamped images with diamond glaze to change the colour of the marker and add shine.

TMTA "Insects"

TMTA Challenge is Insects this week. I never really think of butterflies as insects maybe because they are so colourful and pretty.

Getting addicted to Digi...

Some more Digital cards (I knew I was becoming addicted ) I love the results I am getting from mixing and matching these Digital scrapbooking Creations packs. The images are so delicate with beautiful colours and the end results are even nicer irl. I always thought of digital as making up a layout/card and leaving the image on your pc or printing out a flat image ( how wrong was I ) but now I am beginning to enjoy printing them out , layering, adding embellishments and bows for 3D texture , Text and being much more creative and am loving the results =0)

Another Digi card.

Another Digi Card =0) Am I getting hooked ...I think so ...What I love about these cards is you can make them while relaxing , you dont need all your crafting bits and pieces at hand you just need your pc so its a different type of cardmaking.For this card I used Wire Trinkets to make the background pattern and then made a card topper with the wire apple.

Digital card

I was playing around with Photoshop and made my first Digital card and I must say I really enjoyed making it and intend to make some more, I got all the images including the tag from Digital scrapbook creations great digital site, this is very new to me so I want to explore it more and see what I come up with .

( The photos were taken indoors at night so lighting is bad and some of the detail in pattern is lost )

Embossed Frame

This was my entry for the Craftsupplies monthly challenge ,I inked and embossed a plastic frame and black metal hanger with detail silver embossing powder allowing the text on the frame to show through I attached the frame with organza ribbon and added a stamped quote and some heart charms .

TMTA " Children and Birds "

The TMTA challenge this week is "Children and Birds".For this atc I added some things you would find in the garden and made a little atc collage .

Scrapwest Tutorial,

As a member of the Scrapwest team it is my week to put together a step by step tutorial which you can see on the Scrapwest site HERE.I have put together some extra example cards to maybe give some ideas for Mothers Day, Valentines Day, Childrens cards, Wedding or just everyday card ideas. Each card has an insert for your greeting which can be removed to see your message. I would love to see your ideas on this card and read your comments. DCM Midweek challenge " Doodling"

I love the combination of black and pink and when I use this stamp image those colours shout out at me , it is one of my favourites. Doodling is not my strong point but I like finish off a border with some sometimes

Daring Cardmakers " Red and White "

"This week's and next week's dare are team dares - and we've decided to go nice and easy on you guys, as the past few dares have been pretty tricky ! This week, we decided on a colour combination for a change. We want you to design a card using only RED AND WHITE on your cards- it doesn't have to be a Valentine themed card - it can be any theme- as long as use incorporate RED and WHITE on it. "

I made this little trifold card a few weeks ago and when I saw the Daring Cardmakers challenge this week I thought of it straight away because the theme this week is " Red and White ".

Wednesday Stamper " Charms "

The Wednesday stamper challenge this week is Charms.

"This week we challenge you to make a CHARM using stamps. It may be a charm for a necklace or bracelet, whatever you fancy with any material you like."

I made a piece using shrink plastic stamped with stazon and coloured with metallic pens then linked the pieces up with charms and links.

Theme Thursday " Triangles"

Theme Thursday!

This week’s theme is “triangles”! Create art in the shape of a triangle!

For this Challenge I embossed three triangle panels then chalked and gold embossed them ,I added a mixture of paper embellishments and rubber stamp images to the three sections and mounted them on a black tri -fold triangle card.

I got a lovely surprise today when this glossy Somerset Studio " Artful Blogging " Magazine arrived in the post with one of my Think Monday think ATC's published in it ( mine is the clown atc) along with other TMTA beautiful atc's. TMTA.."Geometry"

TMTA Challenge.

"Quote" No worries, there’s no mathematics involved in this week’s challenge It’s only about using geometric forms for your ATC, such as triangles, circles or rectangles. You can, for instance, make a diamond background, or triangular hats, or integrate a round tag.

Skinny Saturday " Friendship "

This is my first time to take part in the skinny Saturday Challenge ,the theme is "Friendship" . I stamped the 5x3 background with a flourish stamp and embossed with pale blue embossing powder then stamped a delicate flower with pink brilliance ink, I coloured the main image and background lightly with watercolours although the photo doesn't show the colours very well.

TMTA Theme this week is " Winter" I used a non sequitor image for this atc.

4x4 Friday " People with wings "

4x4 Friday Challenge today is " People with wings " I stamped Sally on semi gloss paper with stazon for the background I used a sizzix swirl diecut to make a pattern and finished off with black ribbon and pearls.
