Scrapwest " Going Dotty "

I set the Scrapwest theme this week " Going Dotty" and made a dotty Dolly card which reads " It's official I've become my mother " I have so many stamps that I never get a chance to use and a theme gives me an excuse to dig them out. The Scrapwesties really went dotty with all their fantastic submissions this week, click the Scrapwest logo on the left to have a look.

Wednesday stamper " Fish "

This weeks Wednesday Stamper theme is " Fish " I made a card with two backgrounds, For one of the backgrounds I sprayed vellum with gold webbing spray the other I coloured with watercolour paint direct to cs and blended in, when dry I embossed and added diamond glaze to give a swirly sea effect. I stamped and embossed the Koi fish and coloured with chalk.

Just Because...

I made these two cards just because I love the images , I like the different effects you can get by using different coloured backing papers. I coloured both with watercolour's.

TMTA " Coca Cola "

The TMTA Challenge this week is " Coca Cola " For this I used a beautiful advert lady image . I used Alcohol inks for the background and layered the image on top, I then added a coca cola bottle raised slightly with foam pads ( I like the way she is looking at the bottle ) I then added a bottle cap image glazed with diamond glaze to give a more realistic 3D effect.

Digi Layout.

The Scrapwest theme this week was set by Audrey and was titled " Seven Deadly Sins " We were to chose one but when it comes to crafting I am guilty of three =0).
This is my very first attempt at a digi layout and am not too sure about it at all. I hope no experienced digi scrappers look in . I always wanted to give it a try and enjoyed the challenge..
Welcome to the team Kate...

The Scrapwest theme this week is " Back to school" and was set by Lainey. I made a card this week with a stamp I love but have never used. I coloured the background with watercolours direct from the tubes and blended them in to make an aged look then I embossed it and removed the top layer with a sanding block. I stamped the image and text with brown ink and embellished with a school house charm and a pencil. To see all the other great submissions from the team click the Scrapwest logo on the left.

Daring Cardmakers challenge.

The rules for the DCM Challenge this week are set by Lythan : Three die cuts had to be used . "If you don't have access to die cuts in any shape or from, you can still play along. You can then use punches. And if you don't have punches then you can do hand cutting ". I used the sizzix sweet small die to make the lollipops which I glazed with diamond glaze to give a lovely shine ,a sizzlet die for the flowers and a punched embossed label. ( click on pictures for more detail )
