My September workshop.

We had a great day yesterday at the workshop and everyone was raring to go after the August break, we had a lovely relaxed yet productive day and also managed to raise some funds towards Petras fundraiser, I had some books for sale, Lynda had her Crochet broaches and Ger her little snippets, ( Thanks to everyone who bought or donated ) Jess demonstrated her beautiful tiles too and everyone was very impressed ( Thanks Jess )

PaperPlay Challenge week 36..

Kate set the paperplag challenge this week with " no patterned papers" (quote Kate ) You are not allowed to use any patterned paper in your project. You may however (if you wish) make your own, out of card stock for example using whatever techniques you want ! You can use paint, you can emboss or stamp it's entirely up to you or you can just use different colours of plain cardstock if that's what you want!

PaperPlay Challenge and CS August challenge.

This weeks PaperPlay Challenge was set by Elisa,"Letter Leftovers "....Quote Elisa "Isn't it annoying that if you buy alphabet stickers - or rubbons or chipboard - at some stage you will be left with lots of letters which can't make any word anymore?My challenge this week is to use letters from at least three different sets.If you don't have any of the above, use stamps or fonts.

This week I used digital images to make my card I added the text to the blackboard then layered the images and finished off with diamond glaze.

I went back to the seventies for my Paperplay "Ooh la la fashion " card this week, the theme was set by Deirdre and I enjoyed making this card with digital images I bought ages ago but never had the chance to use.

These are the cards we made at my workshop today, we had a play with alcohol inks and flower soft and it was great to see all the different variations of colours while making the same cards, I really enjoyed the day and it was great to meet up with everyone and meet some newbies too.

Give it a twist ...

Elisa challenged us to use our supplies in an unexpected way for the PaperPlay Challenge this week, for example, pink card for men, title in Braille, clock faces instead of the letter "O", anything with a twist!

My twist was to use the owl eyes for letters.
