Getting addicted to Digi...

Some more Digital cards (I knew I was becoming addicted ) I love the results I am getting from mixing and matching these Digital scrapbooking Creations packs. The images are so delicate with beautiful colours and the end results are even nicer irl. I always thought of digital as making up a layout/card and leaving the image on your pc or printing out a flat image ( how wrong was I ) but now I am beginning to enjoy printing them out , layering, adding embellishments and bows for 3D texture , Text and being much more creative and am loving the results =0)

Another Digi card.

Another Digi Card =0) Am I getting hooked ...I think so ...What I love about these cards is you can make them while relaxing , you dont need all your crafting bits and pieces at hand you just need your pc so its a different type of cardmaking.For this card I used Wire Trinkets to make the background pattern and then made a card topper with the wire apple.

Digital card

I was playing around with Photoshop and made my first Digital card and I must say I really enjoyed making it and intend to make some more, I got all the images including the tag from Digital scrapbook creations great digital site, this is very new to me so I want to explore it more and see what I come up with .

( The photos were taken indoors at night so lighting is bad and some of the detail in pattern is lost )

Embossed Frame

This was my entry for the Craftsupplies monthly challenge ,I inked and embossed a plastic frame and black metal hanger with detail silver embossing powder allowing the text on the frame to show through I attached the frame with organza ribbon and added a stamped quote and some heart charms .

TMTA " Children and Birds "

The TMTA challenge this week is "Children and Birds".For this atc I added some things you would find in the garden and made a little atc collage .

Scrapwest Tutorial,

As a member of the Scrapwest team it is my week to put together a step by step tutorial which you can see on the Scrapwest site HERE.I have put together some extra example cards to maybe give some ideas for Mothers Day, Valentines Day, Childrens cards, Wedding or just everyday card ideas. Each card has an insert for your greeting which can be removed to see your message. I would love to see your ideas on this card and read your comments. I love the combination of black and pink and when I use this stamp image those colours shout out at me , it is one of my favourites. Doodling is not my strong point but I like finish off a border with some sometimes

Daring Cardmakers " Red and White "

"This week's and next week's dare are team dares - and we've decided to go nice and easy on you guys, as the past few dares have been pretty tricky ! This week, we decided on a colour combination for a change. We want you to design a card using only RED AND WHITE on your cards- it doesn't have to be a Valentine themed card - it can be any theme- as long as use incorporate RED and WHITE on it. "

I made this little trifold card a few weeks ago and when I saw the Daring Cardmakers challenge this week I thought of it straight away because the theme this week is " Red and White ".

Wednesday Stamper " Charms "

The Wednesday stamper challenge this week is Charms.

"This week we challenge you to make a CHARM using stamps. It may be a charm for a necklace or bracelet, whatever you fancy with any material you like."

I made a piece using shrink plastic stamped with stazon and coloured with metallic pens then linked the pieces up with charms and links.

Theme Thursday " Triangles"

Theme Thursday!

This week’s theme is “triangles”! Create art in the shape of a triangle!

For this Challenge I embossed three triangle panels then chalked and gold embossed them ,I added a mixture of paper embellishments and rubber stamp images to the three sections and mounted them on a black tri -fold triangle card.

I got a lovely surprise today when this glossy Somerset Studio " Artful Blogging " Magazine arrived in the post with one of my Think Monday think ATC's published in it ( mine is the clown atc) along with other TMTA beautiful atc's. TMTA.."Geometry"

TMTA Challenge.

"Quote" No worries, there’s no mathematics involved in this week’s challenge It’s only about using geometric forms for your ATC, such as triangles, circles or rectangles. You can, for instance, make a diamond background, or triangular hats, or integrate a round tag.

Skinny Saturday " Friendship "

This is my first time to take part in the skinny Saturday Challenge ,the theme is "Friendship" . I stamped the 5x3 background with a flourish stamp and embossed with pale blue embossing powder then stamped a delicate flower with pink brilliance ink, I coloured the main image and background lightly with watercolours although the photo doesn't show the colours very well.

TMTA Theme this week is " Winter" I used a non sequitor image for this atc.

4x4 Friday " People with wings "

4x4 Friday Challenge today is " People with wings " I stamped Sally on semi gloss paper with stazon for the background I used a sizzix swirl diecut to make a pattern and finished off with black ribbon and pearls.

Daring Cardmakers. Hide & Seek

Kathy set the Daring Cardmakers challenge this week .

Hide & Seek The challenge is to make a card which has a hidden component of some sort.The hidden part could be a tag, a concealed photo, message or something along those lines, maybe a pull-out or pop-up.

I have made a criss- cross card for the challenge and although the Happy Birthday wish is visible your personal message will be hidden under the flaps.

Theme Thursday."Stamped Backgrounds "

The Theme Thursday challenge today is " Stamped Backgrounds" For this card I sponged ink direct from a big and juicy spice ink pad , I stamped various images with Vintage brown and black Stazon ink pads then gold embossed over these images. For the main image I stamped onto semi gloss card and inked around edges then layered onto contrasting card.

Wednesday stamper " Kings "

The Wednesday stamper theme this week is "Kings" I stamped the boy king image with Versafine (Imperial Purple ) I then embossed some mauve textured card and sanded the raised areas to give an aged look then I rubbed over the sanded areas lightly with gold Brilliance ink to age it again and added a gold crown fit for a king.

Triangle Trifold card

I received one of these trifold cards a few weeks ago ( Thanks Kiki )and have wanted to try it myself since.I decided to keep it plain using embossed paper and textured card. I am happy with the result and will enjoy making more of these using different colours.The variations are endless.

The TMTA Theme this week is " Photo art stamp " This is a Stampsmith photo image I stamped with Versafine Majestic blue ink on semi gloss card.

4x4 Friday 2 Music"

The 4x4 Friday theme this week is " Music" I love this rubber stamp and don't use it enough ( come to think of it I don't use any of my stamps enough ) The lady looks so graceful dancing her heart away.

Theme Thursday " Valentine

Love is in the air for the Theme Thursday challenge with " Valentine" , Its hard to believe we are thinking about Valentines Day already ! This is my first time to take the Challenge . The tag is stamped with Vintage sepia ink and coloured with watercolours.

Wednesday Stamper " Keys"

The Wednesday Stamper theme this week is " Keys".. I made this some time ago and thought it would fit in with this challenge The rubber stamps are all mostly from Non Sequitor and above the mark ,The photo of the man is a relative of mine ( unfortunately that's all I know about him ) I thought the photo fit in with this peice.

TMTA " Postage stamp"

TMTA this week is " Postage Stamp" This is the first time I used the map of Ireland rubber stamp =0) for the background I stamped a paper bag , I then stamped " Follow your heart "on some linen paper then added a postage stamp and charm.

4x4 Friday " Textured Paper "

The 4x4 Friday theme this week is " Textured paper " For this card I dry embossed a piece of linen paper with a texture template. I stamped the lady image with vintage sepia ink and coloured with water colour pencils finishing off with pearly buttons and ivory organza ribbon.

Wednesday Stamper " Gothic Arch"

Wednesday Stamper is kicking off the New Year with a " Gothic Arch" challengs. This is a first for me, I love this rubber stamp , its so long since I got the chance to use it =0)

TMTA " Fireworks of colour"

The Think Monday Think ATC theme is " Fireworks of colour" For the background of colour I used Winsor & Newton inks straight from the bottles using a brush , when dry I stamped the fireworks with stazon ink and embossed with clear embossing powder over the dancing couple and full atc, and added gems for a bit of sparkle.

Scrapwest "Christmas"

The Scrapwest theme this week is " Christmas " I stamped and gold embossed the Santa image, and added stickles glitter to beard and berries, I then mounted it onto contrasting card and embossed with the cuttlebug script template then onto the gorgeous new pop coulture 12x12 Lacy Cardstock. I finished the card off with sparkly diamond gems and white organza ribbon.

I finally found time to make a few christmas cards before last post tomorrow. I kept them very simple with the quote,

" Winter is a time to gather golden moments

and enjoy every golden hour "
