Sassy Cheryl's challenge week #87

We are following an inspiration photo by Peggy over on Sassy Cheryl's this week and adding some pink for Breast Cancer awarness month ... I used a rose patterned paper similar to one of the plates  and four brass embellishments where the cutlery is in the photo.I also used my favourite Sassy Cheryl's image Share the love coloured with pro markers.

Over on Sassy Cheryl's we are still thinking pink and this week and we are using a die cut! I used the gorgeous image Merry Winter Christmas bulb  coloured with pro markers.

  For the month of October ( Breast cancer awarness month ) we are going pink with our weekly Sassy Cheryl's challengs, the weekly themes will change but we will be using pink on all of our cards, this week is Anything goes! I used the fun image  Sledding snowman and as usual coloured with pro markers.

I cant believe it is Autumn already! we are still waiting for Summer here in Ireland :(   Peggy set this weeks Sassy Cheryl's challenge and the theme is to use Fall / Autumn colours, I chose the gorgeous Sassy Cheryl image Aprils umbrella coloured in browns and matched up with some Autumn leaf  papers,with a bare little tree to embellish.

Mami Doodles challenge week #34 Follow a sketch!

I  set the Mami Doodles challenge this week with a sketch, I used the gorgeous new image " Autumn Girl" perfect for a teenager, I coloured with pro markers and used dotty red and white fabric for the card base, I am going through a pearl phase so added a few to the embossed border.

This weeks Mami Doodles challenge is " All creatures great and small " as it is Breast cancer awareness month in October I added a pink ribbon to my card making it suitable for a thinking of you card for someone who is having a difficult time atm. I used the Mami Doodles image Owl and books I paper pieced and coloured with pro markers.

Sassy Cheryl's challenge week # 80, Candy wrapper, Bag or Box !

Judy set this weeks Sassy Cheryl's challenge, to make a Candy wrapper, bag or box,  I had a lovely bar of Cadbury's chocolate so decided to make a fancy wrapper, I used the image " Cup of Cocoa "  I took her off her cosy chair and sat her on a Martha Stewart border :)  Here she is on her cosy chair having a break !  To join us all you have to do is add your Candy wrapper, bag or box to the Challenge Blog. and you will be in with a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate for Sassy Cheryl's shop !!!

Cricut and Mami Doodles!

As some of you already know I have a love/hate relationship with my cricut expression, I bought it months ago but struggled with the mats, clean cuts etc, so it has been an ornament gathering dust until recently I had an idea for a workshop card so I took it, dusted it off :) and tried it, hey presto I love it !!!! so much so I decided to create a card today and this is the finished result, The base card is cut with the cricut and I dressed up this gorgeous little Mami Doodles girl ( from the Ligia playing  dress up set) with cotton/tulle ribbon and a bow! I coloured her with pro markers!

This is a real ME card with ribbon,flourishes, butterflies, tiny pearls and a tasteful amount of glitter!

Altered Dress Mannequin!

 I will be bringing my jewellery to sell at the GBCE and while browsing around for some nice jewellery display stands I came accross a wire dress mannequin that I loved, but me being me I challenged myself to dress it up into something more elegant and this is what I came up with, it is not completly finished yet I still have some final touches to add but I think with some nice jewellery displayed on it, it will look nice !

Sassy Cheryls challenge week #79 Make a Sassy Birthday Card l !

Judy set this weeks Sassy Cheryl's challenge with " Make a birthday card for anyone " I made an easel card and used the image  THATS ONE BIG FLOWER  coloured with pro markers, I used a mixture of large cutting dies and embossing folders to layer the image on, punch outs were given to me by the very generous Isobel Kerr at last weeks workshop :)

Mami Doodles Challenge #32 " Shaped card"

For this weeks Mami Doodles Challenge we are making " a shaped card " I made an oval card with a flourish frame and embossed insert ( this card stands like an easel card without the base) I used one of  Mami Doodles gorgeous Midori images, because the frame is so detailed I left the rest of the card in simple red and white and embellished with tiny pearls.

Jeni set this weeks Sassy Cheryls challenge with " Whats buggin you! I took two meanings from the challenge as this Sassy boy looks like he has something on his mind and it's " buggin " him, also if you look closely there is a little ladybird and worm inching their way up the stone.
I used the image " Thinking of you (boy) " and Cheryl also has a Little girl image in the same pose here.

Sassy Cheryls challenge week #70 "Outside the box"

Judy set this weeks " Outside the box" Sassy Cheryl's challenge,   I used the image " Pencil girl " perfect for Teachers cards and back to school cards,  there is also a Pencil boy image and two images with glasses, as usual I coloured with pro markers and used glossy accents to add some sheen, I finally got around to using my new quilling dies and this is what I came up with!

Mami Doodles challenge, Week #29 "Heavy Metal"

This weeks Mami Doodles challenge is " Heavy Metal " I did a double take on this and went for a heavy metal guitar player and distressed some embossed silver card and darkened with black ink to give a rough metal look, I used the image Nick with skateboard which usually had a skate board but I replaced it with a rock guitar.
