Sassy Cheryl's challenge week #94 " White on White"

This weeks Sassy Cheryl's challenge is one of my favourites " White on White" so we are having a Blizzard !!!! I made up a little snow scene using lots of frosty glitter, embossing folders and nestie shapes, there were lots of Sassy snowmen I could have used but decided on " UP IN ARMS " snowman because he looks like he is enjoying all that snow and couldnt be happier :)

I had a little bit of time to make a " Just because" card this week and was dying to use my new Waltzing mouse stamp set, Candy jar Christmas fillers .. I LOVE these stamps and had great fun colouring them with my promarkers and putting them into their little Candy jar cabinet, I cut the frame and hinges with my cricut machine, the front is covered with acetate but the photo doesnt show it well.

This weeks Mami Doodles challenge is " Make it shine " no problem at all I love using bling :) ... this card is a bit different for me as I dont use darker colours a lot ... We are thinking WINTER over on Sassy Cheryls challenge this week, I used the gorgeous image HALF MOON SANTA the two squares are embossed snowflakes ( not very clear in the photo ) I glittered Santa up with stickles and coloured him with pro markers.

Mami Doodles challenge week #38 "Fairytales are real"

Mami Doodles challenge this week is " Fairytales are real" I wasnt sure which image to go with this week but decided on Girl with wings because of  her fairy wings, I think fairies have to sparkle so I added lots of bling and pearls, I paper pieced her dress and used the same gold embossed paper for the background and glitter velum for her wings, I used so much bling I decided to leave everything else clean and simple, I made a gift card holder with a Fairy verse to go inside the main card.

We are trying to stump Cheryl in this weeks Sassy Cheryl's challenge today. Cheryl always says that she can tell which one of her design team members created a card without looking at the watermark.... the team has put her to the test and created cards with a different style ...Cheryl doesnt know who owns each card because we dont have a  watermark and we changed our usual style sooooo cant wait to see  how many she guesses right :)

Sassy Cheryl's challenge week #89 Emboss it

This weeks Sassy Cheryls theme is to "Emboss" wet or dry, I chose a swirl embossing folder to match the swirly frame cut on my cuttlebug, andwith all that detail  I chose the gorgeous santa image " Better not pout " I love this image and it is so easy to colour and cut it too!

Christmas is getting closer and this week we are having a Mami Doodles Christmas themed challenge ... I used Jake and dressed him up in his elf costume coloured with pro markers, I stayed with traditional Christmas colours using lots of patterns which is unusual for me ! We are following an inspiration photo by Peggy over on Sassy Cheryl's this week and adding some pink for Breast Cancer awarness month ... I used a rose patterned paper similar to one of the plates  and four brass embellishments where the cutlery is in the photo.I also used my favourite Sassy Cheryl's image Share the love coloured with pro markers.

I  set the Mami Doodles challenge this week with a sketch, I used the gorgeous new image " Autumn Girl" perfect for a teenager, I coloured with pro markers and used dotty red and white fabric for the card base, I am going through a pearl phase so added a few to the embossed border.

Sassy Cheryl's challenge week # 80, Candy wrapper, Bag or Box !

Judy set this weeks Sassy Cheryl's challenge, to make a Candy wrapper, bag or box,  I had a lovely bar of Cadbury's chocolate so decided to make a fancy wrapper, I used the image " Cup of Cocoa "  I took her off her cosy chair and sat her on a Martha Stewart border :)  Here she is on her cosy chair having a break !  To join us all you have to do is add your Candy wrapper, bag or box to the Challenge Blog. and you will be in with a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate for Sassy Cheryl's shop !!!

Cricut and Mami Doodles!

As some of you already know I have a love/hate relationship with my cricut expression, I bought it months ago but struggled with the mats, clean cuts etc, so it has been an ornament gathering dust until recently I had an idea for a workshop card so I took it, dusted it off :) and tried it, hey presto I love it !!!! so much so I decided to create a card today and this is the finished result, The base card is cut with the cricut and I dressed up this gorgeous little Mami Doodles girl ( from the Ligia playing  dress up set) with cotton/tulle ribbon and a bow! I coloured her with pro markers!

This is a real ME card with ribbon,flourishes, butterflies, tiny pearls and a tasteful amount of glitter!

Altered Dress Mannequin!

 I will be bringing my jewellery to sell at the GBCE and while browsing around for some nice jewellery display stands I came accross a wire dress mannequin that I loved, but me being me I challenged myself to dress it up into something more elegant and this is what I came up with, it is not completly finished yet I still have some final touches to add but I think with some nice jewellery displayed on it, it will look nice !
